My RSS feed has just posted the following:

Over the last ten years, I have seen many people in the United States grow very comfortable living on borrowed money. The last decade was dominated by huge credit card debt and house payment that families could not afford. The latest recession has forced many from their habits beyond their means and back to a budget.

The United States Government has also become extremely comfortable living way beyond its means. The Republicans began spending like money grew on trees. The Democrats have taken over and continued that approach with gusto. Now 41% of the 2011 budget will be paid for with borrowed money- $1.47 Trillion deficit. Here is the article about it.

It is time to stop expanding our spending and adding more entitlements. It is time to examine every expenditure and to cut back. Now is the time to start making the tough decisions on how to balance the budget and for both parties to make sacrifices.

These have been a few simple thoughts of my complex mind.
