With another week in the books, the Cowboys keep creeping closer to the Steelers and Colts, and the Patriots' number continues to slide. But the real surprise when I was punching the numbers in came with the Packers. They've been steadily falling for a couple weeks, and the loss to Cowboys finally did it, dropping them below the Seahawks and into No. 6 overall. Also rising: Minnesota and Oakland. Remember, this is a cumlative ranking, and isn't based on how teams are playing now, which is what makes Seattle's rise over Green Bay (whose body of work is pretty strong) surprising. Here's the list: 1. Patriots – O: 62.4/D: 28.3/Last Week: 1 – 34.1 2. Colts – O: 47.0/D: 27.0/Last Week: 2 – 20.0 3. Steelers – O: 39.2/D: 21.4/Last Week: 3 – 17.8 4. Cowboys – O: 49.6/D: 33.2/Last Week: 4 – 16.4 5. Seahawks – O: 37.7/D: 28.1/Last Week: 6 – 9.6 6. Packers – O: 42.4/D: 32.9/Last Week: 5 – 9.5 7. Buccaneers – O: 33.8/D: 26.3/Last Week: 7 – 7.5 8. Jaguars – O: 37.4/D: 32.1/Last Week: 8 – 5.3 9. Chargers – O: 35.6/D: 30.8/Last Week: 9 – 4.8 10. Vikings – O: 37.0/D: 33.3/Last Week: 14 – 3.8 11. Giants – O: 37.2/D: 34.2/Last Week: 10 – 3.0 12. Titans – O: 31.7/D: 30.8/Last Week: 15 – 0.8 13. Eagles – O: 36.1/D: 35.4/Last Week: 11 – 0.7 14. Bengals – O: 39.0/D: 38.9/Last Week: 12 – 0.1 15. Saints – O: 37.2/D: 37.7/Last Week: 13 – minus-0.5 16. Cardinals – O: 34.9/D: 35.8/Last Week: 17 – minus-0.9 17. Redskins – O: 32.3/D: 35.4/Last Week: 19 – minus-3.1 18. Browns – O: 42.1/D: 45.5/Last Week: 18 – minus-3.4 19. Raiders – O: 30.4/D: 33.9/Last Week: 23 – minus-3.9 20. Lions – O: 34.8/D: 40.3/Last Week: 16 – minus-5.5 21. Panthers – O: 27.5/D: 33.1/Last Week: 26 – minus-5.6 22. Ravens – O: 27.8/D: 33.5/Last Week: 21 – minus-5.8 23. Texans – O: 32.4/D: 38.3/Last Week: 20 – minus-5.9 24. Bears – O: 29.9/D: 35.9/Last Week: 24 – minus-6.0 25. Chiefs – O: 23.8/D: 30.9/Last Week: 22 – minus-7.1 26. Jets – O: 31.4/D:40.8/Last Week: 31 – minus-9.4 27. Broncos – O: 32.7/D: 42.3/Last Week: 25 – minus-9.6 28. Falcons – O: 25.6/D: 35.4/Last Week: 27 – minus-9.8 29. Rams – O: 27.7/D: 39.1/Last Week: 30 – minus-11.4 30. Once again, the way I was taught this, the standard for outstanding performance is 40, meaning that's just what the Cowboys have been in 10 of 12 games this year, and their last six in a row. COWBOYS OFFENSE GAME-BY-GAME 9/9 vs. Giants: 60 (W) 9/16 at Miami: 56 (W) 9/23 at Chicago: 52 (W) 9/30 vs. St. Louis: 60 (W) 10/8 at Buffalo: 31 (W) 10/14 vs. New England: 37 (L) 10/21 vs. Minnesota: 40 (W) 11/4 at Philadelphia: 59 (W) 11/11 at Giants: 47 (W) 11/18 vs. Redskins 44 (W) 11/22 vs. Jets 52 (W) 11/29 vs. Packers 57 (W) |
